Nothing Lasts Forever

Now this is an old video and some of you may have seen it already, but it stands as one of my favorite performances to this day. Not many people knew that Kanye West's "Heard Em Say", actually inspired a song that Maroon 5 would later record for their album "It Won't Be Soon Before Long". Their song was entitled "Nothing Lasts Forever", and was debuted at their live televised show in Canada. To the crowds surprise, Kanye makes a guest appearance and they together perform their song. He also does a verse at the end, that would show up later as a Japanese bonus track, on his album "Graduation", entitled "Goodnight" featuring Mos Def.

Her Morning Elegance

I came across this music video just now and if you appreciate art, or expression of pure creativity, then you will enjoy this. I have to admit that I didn't know the artist before seeing this, but the song isn't bad. It is very mellow and reminds me a bit of Jack Johnson with different instrument use. In my opinion, I would have liked it a lot better had he used more violin (I love that thing). The artist is Oren Lavie, and this is his video for the song "Her Morning Elegance".

Cause I'm Comin Home Again

Tomorrow is the Homecoming Show for Tez & Traska @ Xcel! We did it HUGE the first time we were there, and tomorrow night, we do it again! Doors open @ 9, with Rob Perry opening the set for us. We come in @ 11 and blow the roof off the place, once again. Below is the link to the video taken from the first show, with the flyer for tomorrow nights gig. Hope to see everyone out there tomorrow night! 18+!

Tez & Traska's First Show @ XCel (November 21st, 2008)

Sometime Around Midnight

It turns out, being nocturnal and never sleeping at night, has some positives to it. While up at 4am, I happened to watch VH1's show "Nocturnal State", which shows music videos for an hour. During this time, I saw a video that made me fall in love with a band I had never heard before. I would describe them as The Killers meets Explosions In The Sky, but a lot better. Here is the music video I caught during my late night venture titled "Sometime Around Midnight", by my new favorite band this week, The Airborne Toxic Event.

This is too dope!

I had a buddy of mine from the UK shoot this video to me and I was amazed! Shout outs to Bonesy Deejay all the way over there! This video is worth watching even if you don't like the music, I couldn't turn away. In the words of Bonesy himself, "this vieo is dope init!"

Life In Technicolor

For those of you who have yet to see this music video, it's genius! I am all for pushing in new directions creatively and I think this video does just that. On top of it all, it's a Coldplay song so you know the chances of it being a great song are very high! This is one of the best songs out and one of my favorite music videos in a long time. Enjoy.

Reckoner Lockdown

Oh my it has been a while since I have posted! My bad folks. I have been crazy busy with a lot of different things. I will make this short and sweet. Tez & Traska and myself will be in Detroit this Saturday (tomorrow) for a show at Club Bleu with Dabura. Should be a good time, everyone come out. The official flyer is posted below. I came across a video that I absolutely loved today. It is a mash up between my favorite Radiohead song, "Reckoner", and Kanye's "Love Lockdown". The strings at the end are amazing!
